D.S.A.: 50 Software per affrontarli

Un Disturbo Specifico dell'Apprendimento (DSA) può avere moltissime diverse sfaccettature, ma nella quasi totalità dei casi comprende ciò che, nella scuola, è al tempo stesso canale e contenuto dell'apprendimento: il linguaggio scritto. Per la maggior parte di noi, la comunicazione scritta è del tutto naturale: si impara a leggere e a scrivere senza eccessiva fatica e si automatizzano le procedure, cosìcchè, dopo poco tempo, diventa una cosa normale, come cucinare o guidare l'auto. Per i bambini dislessici non è così: NONOSTANTE la loro intelligenza, affrontare la parola scritta per loro non diventerà un automatismo, a prescindere da quante ore staranno chini sui libri. Quando stavamo imparando a guidare l'auto, tutta la nostra attenzione e le nostre energie erano concentrate sui vari comandi del veicolo, sulle procedure, sullo spazio da percorrere, sui segnali da comprendere e da interpretare, sui percorsi sconosciuti che si dovevano affrontare... Ci siamo sentiti ansiosi, nervosi, ci stancavamo presto, l'errore e la distrazione erano sempre in agguato. Per un bambino dislessico affrontare la parola scritta è come guidare l'auto, sempre per la prima volta: le lettere e le parole gli impongono la massima concentrazione, tanto che ha difficoltà a comprendere il significato di un testo, non certo per scarsa intelligenza, ma perchè tutte le sue energie sono tese a decifrare e interpretare i segni grafici. Ha solitamente molte idee per la scrittura, è creativo, fantasioso, coglie la globalità di una situazione... ma spesso non riesce a dare una forma linguistica corretta ai suoi pensieri e alle sue conoscenze, perciò il risultato dei suoi sforzi viene penalizzato. L'autostima ne risente, la motivazione cala, la fatica diventa eccessiva rispetto a quella dei compagni, gli apprendimenti non vengono conseguiti... Ma la cosa peggiore è che difficilmente un dislessico viene compreso da chi gli sta attorno: gli si attribuiscono svogliatezza, scarso impegno, pigrizia, immaturità... Non ci si accorge che in realtà l'impegno è eccessivo rispetto ai risultati, che la sua modalità di apprendere, di rappresentarsi la realtà, è diversa da quella comune... non minore, ma DIVERSA. La frustrazione, la vergogna, il senso di impotenza e di estraneità del bambino dislessico aumentano: a seconda del carattere, inizierà a comportarsi aggressivamente, oppure ad isolarsi, ad avere atteggiamenti disfattisti, a comportarsi da buffone per "darsi un tono"... Sicuramente, se non verrà riconosciuto, compreso ed aiutato, perderà la motivazione e l'interesse per lo studio e la scuola diventerà presto per lui un luogo di tortura.

YouTube per la scuola: i canali educational

C’è chi ha definito YouTube l’inconscio audiovisivo della nostra società per evidenziarne il ruolo di archivio culturale: sicuramente per insegnanti ed alunni rappresenta un’enorme videoteca dove trovare filmati da accompagnare allo studio dando una forma a quello che si legge sui libri. Ma anche semplicemente per facilitare l’apprendimento delle nozioni più difficili attraverso contenuti graficamente elaborati.

Ovviamente non tutti i contenuti sono professionali e attendibili ma YouTube stesso provvede a fare una cernita attraverso una formula per la formazione che si compone essenzialmente di due piattaforme: YouTube EDU e YouTube for Schools.
La prima è una piattaforma pubblica mentre la seconda è riservata, previa iscrizione, agli insegnanti: è stato necessario prendere questa precauzione in quanto YouTube EDU contiene anche dei materiali considerati inadeguati dalle policy americane in materia di insegnamento. Accedendo a YouTube for schoolsl’insegnante può selezionare video specifici per le proprie lezioni dalla libreria di YouTube EDU e caricarne anche dei propri, creando un percorso personalizzato per gli studenti.La pecca di questo servizio è che contiene quasi esclusivamente materiale in lingua inglese, ma questo allo stesso tempo potrebbe rappresentare anche un vantaggio per offrire ai propri alunni la possibilità di migliorare la lingua imparando nozioni importanti di altre materie. Insomma, dipende da quanto la scuola e la classe abbiano familiarizzato con la lingua inglese. Non si parla ancora della creazione di piattaforme per mercati specifici e non so se questo possa avvenire in futuro o se l’offerta rimarrà “internazionale”.

How to Use Slideful
Once you get to Slideful’s home page, you are free to upload up to 10 pictures for your slideshow.
